4. Do I need skiing or snowboarding experience?

No. You don't need any previous skiing or snowboarding experience to ride a SNO-GO. If you know how to ride a bike and are comfortable on winter terrain, you'll likely pick it up quickly.

 

5. What boots should I wear with a SNO-GO?

Snowboard boots are highly recommended because they provide the best grip, comfort, and control. Winter boots can work but may slip during riding. Ski boots are not compatible and cannot be used with SNO-GO bikes.

 

6. How do you get on a chairlift with a SNO-GO?

SNO-GO bikes are equipped with a built-in chairlift hook that makes loading simple. As the chair approaches, place your feet on either side of the bike, sit down first, and allow the chair to scoop underneath the hook. The bike will ride securely between your legs throughout the lift ride. If it's your first time, lift attendants are happy to slow the chair or assist you.

 

7. Can you take a SNO-GO on a gondola?

Yes! SNO-GO bikes fit inside gondolas and are designed to be transported up the mountain. Keep the bike standing vertically while entering the gondola. Once inside, slide the rear skis underneath the bench and lean the front ski gently against the gondola wall. Lift attendants are familiar with SNO-GOs and can assist or slow the gondola if needed.

 

8. Where do I pick up my SNO-GO rental?

We offer two convenient pickup options. Choose standard slopeside delivery, where your SNO-GO will be waiting near the main lift area, or select vacation rental delivery, where we'll deliver your bike directly to your hotel, condo, or vacation home before your rental begins.

 

9. Are SNO-GO bikes easier on your knees and joints?

Many riders say yes. Because you're not locked into bindings and part of your body weight is supported through the handlebars, SNO-GOs often reduce stress on the knees, hips, and ankles compared to traditional skiing or snowboarding. Every rider is different, but many people with previous knee injuries find ski biking more comfortable.

 

10. Are SNO-GO bikes good for people with previous ACL injuries?

Be sure to check each resort's current policy, as equipment rules can occasionally change.

 

13. Can beginners ride a SNO-GO?

Absolutely. SNO-GOs were designed with beginners in mind. Most riders are confidently making turns within their first hour, and the stable three-ski platform helps build confidence much faster than many expect.

 

14. Can I book a SNO-GO rental for the same day if it shows no availability online?

Maybe! Online bookings close at 8:00 PM the night before your rental date. If you need a same-day SNO-GO rental, call or text us at 970-200-7578. We'll do our best to accommodate your request based on equipment availability and our delivery schedule. Please note that same-day rentals are subject to a $25 same-day booking fee.
